TikTok Shop LIVE Group Deals: Set the Floor Before Creators Go Live

TikTok Shop's LIVE Group Deal and Price Cut guide, updated November 6, 2026, describes two creator-led promotions in which a lower price is unlocked during a LIVE. The seller sets the deal price or floor, participation target and any special commission; the creator controls when the offer runs, its duration and quantity. A brand should approve unit economics and available stock before giving creators access.

Two deal mechanics, different price exposure

In Group Deal, a group of two to six viewers unlocks a fixed lower price when the group fills. TikTok Shop says shoppers in an incomplete group are still charged when the activity ends, so creators must explain the terms clearly. In Price Cut, each participating viewer lowers the price until the promotion ends, with participants paying the final price. Only one Group Deal, Price Cut or LIVE Flash Sale can run in a LIVE room at a time.

Both sides must qualify. TikTok Shop lists a Creator Health Score above 150 for the creator and a Shop Performance Score of at least 3.5 for the seller. The product must be approved for the promotion and currently must have the same price across its SKUs. Access can vary by account; confirm eligibility in Affiliate Center before scheduling a creator session.

Build a contribution floor, not just a discount

Calculate the lowest acceptable customer price after product cost, fulfillment, platform fees, creator commission, coupons and expected returns. TikTok Shop says deal prices can stack with seller and platform coupons and subsidies; test the full checkout economics. For Price Cut, the floor is a platform price guardrail; for Group Deal, use the fixed deal price. Set a quantity the shop can fulfill, but do not assume stock is reserved when the offer is created: TikTok Shop says it is locked when a creator starts the activity. Agree with the creator on segment timing. TikTok Shop says the product must be in the creator's Showcase and setup happens during a LIVE or Quick LIVE, not in advance for a scheduled session.

A small controlled test

  1. Pick one eligible SKU with a known contribution floor and enough stock.
  2. Set the seller-controlled price, target and commission; document the creator's quantity and timing.
  3. Confirm Showcase placement and live setup with the creator.
  4. Review actual net sales, cancellations, returns and margin before expanding.
