Amazon says its Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal-sourcing window has been extended to November 13, 2026. That creates another opportunity for brands with eligible products to submit promotions, but the extra time is useful only if the offer, stock and margin still work. Check the Events workflow in your own Seller Central account before treating any ASIN or promotion type as accepted.
What Amazon announced
An official Seller Forums announcement says the deal-sourcing window for Black Friday and Cyber Monday is open through November 13. It points sellers to the Q4 2026 peak readiness playbook for inventory cutoffs and holiday fees. It also describes how to create a Prime Exclusive Discount through Advertising > Price Discounts > Events.
The forum notice does not say every seller, deal type or ASIN is eligible. A seller asked in the thread whether the extension applies to US Best Deals; the public thread we reviewed did not resolve that question. We therefore would not describe November 13 as a blanket deadline for every promotion. Seller Central's account-specific Events screen and current eligibility checks are the practical authority for a submission.
Run the economics before you submit
Reopen the deal candidate list and check three things together: the event price, the inventory available to fulfill demand, and the all-in contribution after fees, advertising and fulfillment. A discount that produces sales but leaves little contribution can weaken the quarter.
This is Etail Rocket operating advice, not an Amazon guarantee of placement or volume. It matters particularly when multiple channels share inventory or a brand has already committed promotional units elsewhere.
A short operator checklist
- Confirm that the event and proposed ASINs appear as eligible in Seller Central. Record the specific promotion type and any account-level restrictions.
- Check event price rules and recent selling prices before approving the discount. Do not assume an extension changes eligibility or deal-price requirements.
- Verify FBA inbound status and the relevant cutoff in Amazon's peak readiness guidance. An open submission window does not extend a fulfillment-center arrival deadline.
- Model contribution margin with event fees, holiday fulfillment costs and planned ad spend. Set a maximum promotional unit allocation.
- Submit and verify the promotion status in Seller Central, then assign an owner to monitor inventory and price during the event.
The November 13 extension is a chance to make a considered submission, not a reason to rush an unprofitable offer. If you want a second look at the promotion plan and its operational readiness, request an Amazon audit.
